These Are My Confessions

Welcome to Tanisha Lyons Porter dot com. I am Tanisha Lyons-Porter! I was born, raised, and currently reside in Los Angeles, CA. and am a Professional Organizer and Owner of Natural Born Organizers, LLC.

But this will not be a blog about all things organizing. Of course, it’ll be discussed from time to time but more in the way of debunking the myth that all professional organizers live in picture perfect homes 24 / 7 / 365. There may be some, but [confession #1] I am not one of them. Don’t judge me, judge your bestie! It is generally clutter-free but DEFINITELY not picture perfect all of the time mainly because I am committed to the highs and lows of helping my family build their declutter & organizing muscle; and sometimes that comes with moments of untidiness.

I just am not interested in being the sole person in the household responsible for keeping our house “tidy”. I mean…even if I was interested in it [which let me repeat that I am most definitely NOT], it is just not possible without being in absolute total conflict with my life mantra of “Balance or Bust”.

[Confession #2], I LOVE ORGANIZING! I hate cleaning! I clean because if I didn’t it would interfere with my organization around my house. Again…don’t judge me, judge your auntie! If I could hire someone to come over to clean my bathrooms EVERYDAY I would. Honestly, I absolutely WOULD!

Listen, life is made up of a series of journeys and I hope you will be a part of mine. I am generally a pretty transparent person so who knows what I may talk about. I know I want to share my NEW urban farm I created since the C-19 pandemic quarantine with you; and how after 11 years it feels like my house has an ever increasing list of to-dos which most time is completely overwhelming.

I am not really sure how often I will write, probably weekly. The way my life is and the way 2020 is shaping up there…will be PLENTY to talk about.
